European System of Central Banks (ESCB)

The European System of Central Banks (ESCB) comprises the European Central Bank (ECB) and the national central banks of all EU member states. Its objective is to maintain price stability. Within the ESCB, the Eurosystem is an entity comprising the ECB and the national central banks of the 20 countries that have introduced the euro.
