Tarifvertrag / collective wage agreement

Tarifvertrag is the German equivalent to the Austrian Kollektivvertrag (collective wage agreement) . Both are legally binding agreements between employers’ and employees’ representatives. They specify sector-wide minimum standards for wages, tasks and working conditions.
